What is a Dwelling Place?
I’ve always been fascinated by déjà vu—that uncanny feeling of reliving a moment. To me, these instances aren’t mere coincidences but affirmations that I’m on the path meant for me.
In 2024, while in Bali with my closest friends, we gathered around a dining table sharing stories. The moment felt eerily familiar, as if I’d lived it before. I took it as a sign that I was walking my predestined path.
Others might interpret such moments differently, and that’s okay. For me, they’re sacred connections to a higher plan—gentle nudges from God reminding me of His protection. In those moments, I pause and say, “Thank you, God.”
These feelings prompt me to appreciate life’s intricate tapestry. We have one life—why not live it beautifully and with purpose? I’ve embraced the call to live fully, stepping into the life God designed for me.
There’s divine comfort in dwelling in a sacred place where we’re protected and loved. Psalm 91:1-2 says:
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.”
To dwell in that secret place is to walk in trust and purpose, knowing we’re covered even in uncertainty. Each déjà vu becomes a signpost that I’m living as I was meant to. Trusting in a higher power, I navigate my journey with confidence and peace.
Whether you see déjà vu as a coincidence or something profound, I encourage you to pay attention to those moments. Perhaps they’re gentle prompts urging you to visit someplace new, take some much-deserved time for yourself, or even pick up roots and find your new forever home. No matter the outcome, let it begin with you reflecting and embracing the path before you.
So, I choose to dwell in a place of trust and gratitude. Where will you choose to dwell?
